Overview
CTG is seeking experienced Cerner Revenue Cycle Scheduling Support Analysts to support and optimize front-end scheduling workflows within our Cerner Millennium environment. This role is critical in ensuring accurate appointment scheduling, streamlined patient access processes, and efficient coordination between clinical and revenue cycle operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cerner Scheduling along with hands-on experience in Eligibility, Patient Engagement, and Referral Management.
Key Responsibilities
Application Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide day-to-day support for Cerner Scheduling, including resource scheduling, visit types, location mapping, and template build issues.
  • Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, configuration errors, workqueue concerns, and appointment workflow issues.
  • Analyze and resolve user-reported issues, ensuring minimal disruption to patient flow and front-end processes.
Scheduling Configuration & Optimization
  • Build and maintain provider templates, slot types, visit types, booking rules, and schedule availability.
  • Enhance scheduling workflows to improve patient access, reduce appointment errors, and support operational goals.
  • Collaborate with clinical departments, patient access, and revenue cycle teams to align scheduling logic with organizational requirements.
Eligibility & Patient Access Support
  • Support Eligibility (RTE) processes for scheduled appointments, ensuring accurate insurance capture before the patient encounter.
  • Monitor eligibility failures and coordinate with patient access teams to resolve data or system issues.
  • Integrate eligibility workflows into scheduling to support clean billing and reduce registration-related denials.
Patient Engagement Solutions
  • Support Cerner Patient Engagement tools, including online scheduling, appointment reminders, patient portal interactions, and self-service check-in workflows.
  • Troubleshoot patient-facing scheduling issues and ensure seamless connectivity between front-end systems.
Referral Management
  • Support and maintain Referral and order workflows related to scheduled services.
  • Ensure referrals are accurately routed, documented, and connected to scheduled appointments.
  • Collaborate with clinical and authorization teams to ensure scheduling workflows support required referrals and authorizations.
Testing, Upgrades & Enhancements
  • Participate in system upgrades, domain refresh activities, and new functionality implementations.
  • Conduct functional and integrated testing for scheduling-related enhancements.
  • Document workflows, provide end-user training, and support go-live events.
Data Integrity, Reporting & Process Improvement
  • Monitor scheduling accuracy, template adherence, and appointment utilization metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve the patient scheduling experience.
  • Support report requests related to scheduling performance, template usage, and referral activity.
Qualifications
Required
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Cerner Scheduling or Cerner Revenue Cycle applications.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling workflows, template configuration, and patient access operations.
  • Experience with:
  • Eligibility (RTE or batch workflows)
  • Patient Engagement / patient portal scheduling
  • Referrals and authorization workflows
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret build logic and translate operational needs into system functionality.
Preferred
  • Experience working in a hospital or large ambulatory clinical environment.
  • Understanding of revenue cycle impacts related to scheduling and insurance accuracy.
  • Cerner certification(s), if applicable.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $105,300 to $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
