Cerner Revenue Cycle Registration Support Analyst
Overview
CTG is seeking skilled Cerner Revenue Cycle Registration Support Analysts to join our healthcare IT team. This role focuses on supporting front-end revenue cycle workflows within Cerner, ensuring accurate patient registration, efficient scheduling, and optimized financial clearance processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cerner Registration solutions as well as additional expertise in Eligibility, Patient Engagement, Referrals, and Advanced Rules configuration.
Key Responsibilities
Application Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide daily operational and technical support for Cerner Registration and Front-End Revenue Cycle applications.
  • Troubleshoot registration, scheduling, and demographic data issues; escalate system defects as needed.
  • Monitor workflow performance and resolve system errors impacting user productivity or patient flow.
Configuration & Optimization
  • Configure and maintain Cerner registration components, including data collection forms, DSPs, person management workflows, and insurance validation rules.
  • Build, update, and optimize Advanced Rules to improve data quality, compliance, and workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain and enhance Eligibility workflows, including real-time and batch verification processes.
Cross-Functional Integration
  • Support Patient Engagement tools (e.g., patient portal registration, communications, self-service check-in).
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Referral Management workflows, ensuring accurate routing, documentation, and downstream authorization processes.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, HIM, Billing, and Clinical teams to ensure coordinated operations and accurate data capture.
Testing, Upgrades & Projects
  • Participate in system upgrades, Cerner code updates, and new solution deployments.
  • Perform functional testing, integration validation, and end-to-end workflow reviews.
  • Assist in the development of training content and operational readiness plans for new functionality.
Reporting & Data Integrity
  • Analyze data quality issues related to patient registration, coverage, and referral workflows.
  • Provide insight into workflow improvements to reduce denials and support clean claim processing.
Qualifications
Required
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Cerner Revenue Cycle or Patient Access applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Cerner Registration, Person Management, Scheduling, and front-end Rev Cycle workflows.
  • Experience with:
  • Eligibility (RTE, batch, payer connectivity)
  • Patient Engagement tools and workflows
  • Referral and authorization workflows
  • Advanced Rules configuration
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and interpret Cerner build logic.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting hospital or large ambulatory environments.
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle KPIs (denials, insurance accuracy, authorization turnaround, etc.).
  • Cerner certification(s), if applicable.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $105,300 to $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
