Job Summary
CTG is Cerner Orders Support Analysts who are responsible for the support, configuration, optimization, and maintenance of Cerner Orders solutions, with a focus on PowerOrders, PowerPlans, and Rules. This role works closely with clinical, informatics, and operational stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and evidence-based ordering workflows that support patient care and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day application support for Cerner PowerOrders, PowerPlans, and Rules
Analyze clinical and operational requirements and translate them into system build and configuration
Build, modify, and maintain orders, order sets, PowerPlans, and clinical rules
Support clinical decision support (CDS) including alerts, reminders, and order guidance
Troubleshoot order workflow, rules execution, and data integrity issues; perform root-cause analysis
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and informatics teams to optimize ordering workflows
Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and regulatory-driven changes
Conduct integrated testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new and modified order build
Develop and maintain build documentation, workflows, testing scripts, and training materials
Provide go-live and post-go-live support for Orders implementations and upgrades
Ensure order content aligns with clinical standards, patient safety, and compliance requirements
Participate in on-call or after-hours support rotations as required
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Clinical discipline, or equivalent experience
Hands-on experience supporting Cerner Orders solutions
Strong experience with PowerOrders, PowerPlans, and Rules configuration
Understanding of clinical ordering workflows across inpatient and ambulatory settings
Experience working in a healthcare IT or clinical informatics environment
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Cerner certification in PowerOrders or Clinical Decision Support
Clinical background (RN, PharmD, Allied Health, or related role)
Experience supporting medication, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging orders
Experience with order governance, standardization, and change management
Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
Skills & Competencies
Strong attention to detail and patient safety focus
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder communication skills
Customer-focused mindset with continuous improvement orientation
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
