Job Summary
CTG is seeking a Cerner Emergency Department (ED) Support Analyst who is responsible for the support, configuration, optimization, and maintenance of Cerner ED solutions, with a focus on FirstNet. This role collaborates closely with ED clinicians, nursing staff, and operational teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant emergency care workflows across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support for Cerner FirstNet and associated ED modules
Analyze, configure, and maintain ED workflows including triage, patient tracking, documentation, orders, and clinical decision support
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ED leadership to translate clinical and operational requirements into system solutions
Troubleshoot complex ED system issues, including workflow, build, and data integrity problems; perform root-cause analysis and resolution
Support system upgrades, enhancements, and regulatory-driven changes
Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for ED builds and enhancements
Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, build guides, and training materials
Provide go-live and post-go-live support for ED implementations or upgrades
Ensure configurations align with patient safety, regulatory, and compliance standards
Participate in on-call or after-hours support rotations as required
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Clinical discipline, or equivalent experience
Hands-on experience supporting Cerner FirstNet in an ED environment
Strong understanding of emergency department clinical workflows and operations
Experience working in a healthcare IT or clinical informatics setting
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Cerner certification in FirstNet or ED modules
Clinical background (RN, ED Nurse, or related role)
Experience with patient flow optimization, ED metrics, and regulatory reporting
Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
Skills & Competencies
Strong attention to detail with patient safety focus
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Customer-focused mindset with continuous improvement orientation
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $160,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
