Overview
CTG is seeking a versatile and highly skilled Clinical Applications Analyst to serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for our core clinical and specialized practice management systems, focusing on Cerner Ancillary Applications, athenahealth, and Raintree. This critical role requires a strong background in healthcare IT, a deep understanding of clinical and revenue cycle workflows, and the ability to manage complex integrations to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality patient care delivery across all venues.
Key Responsibilities
System Support & Maintenance (Cerner, athenahealth, Raintree)
Tier 2/3 Support: Serve as the primary point of escalation for all application issues related to Cerner Ancillary modules (e.g., Scheduling, Orders, Rev Cycle components), athenahealth (EHR/PM/RCM), and Raintree Systems (EHR/Practice Management for Therapy/Rehab).
Troubleshooting & Resolution: Diagnose, resolve, and document complex system issues related to system functionality, user access, data integrity, and reporting.
System Configuration: Perform configuration changes, table maintenance, and build modifications within all three platforms to align with business requirements and clinical best practices.
Integration & Workflow Management
Interface Management: Monitor and troubleshoot data flows between Cerner Millennium and the independent athenahealth and Raintree systems, primarily using HL7 and API interfaces.
Workflow Optimization: Partner with clinical departments (especially therapy/rehab) and Revenue Cycle teams to analyze current state workflows and configure systems to improve charge capture, scheduling efficiency, and clinical documentation.
Project Participation: Participate in system upgrades, testing cycles, patch deployment, and new feature implementation across all managed applications.
Compliance, Documentation, & Training
Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, configuration manuals, and end-user training materials for all supported systems.
Training: Provide advanced training and knowledge transfer to super-users and the help desk team.
Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all system configuration and workflows support HIPAA, HITECH, and other relevant healthcare regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a dedicated Healthcare IT Analyst or Application Support role.
Core EMR/EHR Expertise:
Cerner: Proven experience supporting and configuring multiple Cerner Millennium Ancillary applications (e.g., Scheduling, Registration, Financials, or specialized modules like RadNet, PathNet).
athenahealth: Direct experience supporting, configuring, or implementing athenaOne (EHR, Practice Management, and/or RCM modules).
Raintree: Direct experience supporting, configuring, or implementing the Raintree Systems EHR/Practice Management platform, ideally within a physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy environment.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of interface technologies (HL7, APIs) and the data exchange between dissimilar healthcare platforms.
Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Must be adept at managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in any of the primary supported platforms (e.g., Cerner Certified, Raintree certified, athenahealth Pro Certification).
Experience in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) workflows, including charge capture, claim submission, and denial management.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related clinical field.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered. Pay Range: USD $110,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr. About Us:
