Overview
CTG is seeking highly skilled and motivated Cerner Ancillary RIS Support Analysts to join our dynamic IT healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in supporting, maintaining, and optimizing our Radiology Information System (RIS) environment, with a strong focus on the Cerner RadNet module. This role requires technical proficiency, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of radiology and ancillary workflows to ensure seamless operations and high user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
System Support & Maintenance: Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 operational support for the Cerner RadNet application and related ancillary systems. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex issues related to order entry, scheduling, results reporting, billing interface, and clinical documentation.
Workflow Optimization: Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders (e.g., Radiologists, Technologists, Department Managers) to analyze current workflows, identify areas for improvement, and configure the system to meet evolving business and clinical needs.
System Configuration: Manage and maintain system dictionaries, tables, business rules, security profiles, and interfaces within the Cerner Millennium environment, specifically for RadNet.
Project Participation: Participate in system upgrades, testing, patch management, new module implementations, and integration projects. Develop test plans, execute scripts, and document results.
Training & Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and end-user training materials. Provide training and knowledge transfer to support staff and end-users as needed.
Interface Management (Preferred): Monitor and troubleshoot interfaces between RadNet and other ancillary systems, including PACS, EMR, and billing systems.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a dedicated healthcare IT analyst or application support role.
Core Expertise: Must have significant, hands-on experience supporting and configuring Cerner RadNet.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of healthcare IT standards (HL7, DICOM) and clinical workflows within a Radiology Department.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. * PACS Systems Experience supporting or integrating with Fuji Synapse PACS and/or Syngo-PACS (Siemens) for image management and viewing.
