Job Title: Ceph Storage Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Implementation

Architect, deploy, and configure

Ceph clusters

for object, block, and file storage. Integrate Ceph storage with

virtualization platforms

(e.g., OpenStack, Proxmox, VMware) and container orchestration tools like

Kubernetes/OpenShift

.

Maintenance & Optimization

Monitor Ceph cluster health, capacity, and performance. Perform cluster tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and scalability. Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues quickly.

Automation & Scripting

Develop automation scripts using

Ansible, Python, or Bash

for deployment and cluster management. Build monitoring dashboards using

Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tools

.

Integration & Data Management

Work on integration with cloud storage services (AWS S3, Azure Blob, GCP). Implement data replication, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.

Security & Compliance

Configure secure authentication, authorization, and encryption within Ceph clusters. Ensure adherence to enterprise security and compliance policies.

Collaboration & Support

Work closely with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to meet business storage requirements. Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to operations teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience:

5+ years in storage technologies, with at least

3+ years of hands-on Ceph

experience. Strong understanding of

Ceph architecture

(MONs, OSDs, MDS, RADOS, RGW). Proficiency in

object, block, and file storage

solutions. Expertise in

Linux administration

(RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu). Experience with

containerized storage

using

Rook-Ceph

or

CSI drivers

. Familiarity with

networking concepts

related to storage (iSCSI, FC, NFS, SMB). Hands-on experience integrating Ceph with

Kubernetes, OpenStack, or Proxmox

. Scripting skills in

Python, Bash, or Ansible

for automation. Knowledge of

monitoring tools

like Grafana, Prometheus, and Ceph Dashboard. Good understanding of

high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning

techniques.
Job Type: Contract

Pay: ?500,000.00 - ?550,000.00 per month
