Job Purpose

The Centre Manager is responsible for the

overall management, administration, academic quality, safety, and profitability

of the Kidzonia Preschool centre. The role ensures smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining high standards of

early childhood education, parent satisfaction, staff performance, regulatory compliance, and brand values

.

Key Responsibilities


------------------------

1. Academic & Curriculum Management

Ensure effective implementation of the

Kidzonia preschool curriculum

in alignment with early childhood education standards.
Monitor lesson plans, activity schedules, and learning outcomes for all age groups.
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
Ensure developmentally appropriate practices in teaching and learning.
Support teachers in classroom planning, child assessments, and documentation.
Oversee child progress reports and ensure timely communication with parents.
Organize academic events such as:
Parent-teacher meetings
Open houses
Annual day and graduation ceremonies
Maintain academic records and student portfolios.

2. Staff Management & Leadership

Recruit, interview, onboard, and train teaching and non-teaching staff.
Develop duty rosters, class allocations, and workload distribution.
Conduct regular performance appraisals and feedback sessions.
Motivate staff to maintain a positive, child-friendly, and professional environment.
Address staff grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues.
Plan and conduct staff training programs and workshops.
Ensure staff adherence to preschool policies, SOPs, and code of conduct.

3. Centre Operations & Administration

Oversee daily operations of the centre to ensure smooth functioning.
Ensure timely opening and closing of the preschool.
Maintain attendance records for children and staff.
Supervise housekeeping, hygiene, and maintenance standards.
Monitor inventory of teaching aids, toys, stationery, and supplies.
Coordinate with vendors for procurement and maintenance services.
Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and filing systems.

4. Child Safety, Health & Well-being

Ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for children.
Enforce child protection policies and safety protocols.
Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
Ensure compliance with health guidelines, emergency preparedness, and first-aid protocols.
Conduct regular safety drills (fire, evacuation, medical emergencies).
Address health or behavioral concerns of children sensitively and professionally.
Ensure staff are trained in child safety and basic first aid.

5. Parent Relationship Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians.
Handle parent inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
Conduct parent orientation programs and counselling sessions.
Maintain transparent and positive communication with parents.
Ensure high levels of parent satisfaction and trust.
Address escalations related to academics, safety, or operations.

6. Admissions, Marketing & Business Development

Drive enrolment targets and manage the admissions process end-to-end.
Conduct school tours and counselling for prospective parents.
Execute local marketing initiatives such as:
Events
Community outreach
Build partnerships with local communities, schools, and organizations.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
Maintain admission records and follow-up systems.
Work towards centre revenue growth and profitability.

7. Financial & Budget Management

Prepare and manage the centre's budget.
Monitor fee collections, outstanding payments, and financial records.
Control operational costs and optimize resource utilization.
Coordinate with the accounts department for billing and payroll.
Ensure financial compliance and accurate reporting.

8. Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure adherence to Kidzonia brand standards and policies.
Maintain compliance with local education regulations and licensing requirements.
Prepare for audits, inspections, and assessments.
Implement quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain documentation for statutory and regulatory authorities.

9. Reporting & Documentation

Prepare and submit regular reports to management on:
Admissions
Academics
Staff performance
Financials
Parent feedback
Maintain MIS and data accuracy.
Document incidents, feedback, and corrective actions.

10. Event Planning & Community Engagement

Plan and execute preschool events, celebrations, and festivals.
Organize workshops and seminars for parents.
Promote community involvement and brand visibility.
Ensure events are safe, engaging, and aligned with Kidzonia values.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education, Child Development, Management, or related field
Early Childhood Education certification preferred
2-4 years of experience in preschool/school management or education administration
Prior experience as Centre Head, School Administrator, or Academic Coordinator preferred
