The Centre Head will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation and management of the Lighthouse Program at the assigned centre. This role requires a passionate leader with strong people management, operational, and stakeholder engagement skills, who is motivated to work towards improving livelihood outcomes for underserved youth.
The ideal candidate will bring strategic thinking, effective decision-making abilities, strong communication skills, and hands-on experience in program execution and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation & Operations
Lead and execute the Lighthouse Program at the centre, ensuring achievement of program goals and targets.
Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the centre across operations, administration, culture, and team management.
Manage centre assets and oversee administrative activities.
Placement & Youth Outcomes
Drive sustainability of placements by ensuring:
Daily interview line-ups for students
Resume review and interview readiness
Industry expert sessions and mock interviews
Identification of local employment opportunities
Coordinate closely with the Placement Manager to source new job opportunities.
Team Leadership & Performance
Manage monthly planning, task lists, and timesheets for the team.
Mentor and coach team members; conduct quarterly performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain low attrition and support team members' professional growth.
Identify skill gaps and work with the Cluster Head and HR to close them.
Continuously improve team productivity and performance.
Data, Reporting & Technology
Ensure accurate and timely monthly data reporting.
Drive adoption and effective use of Lighthouse technology platforms, including the Youth Connect Portal.
Maintain data accuracy and compliance across systems.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, including:
Government representatives and Corporators
Corporate and CSR partners
Skilling and placement partners
Program partners, volunteers, and community members
Represent the centre in meetings, public forums, and presentations.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
MSW or Postgraduate degree in any discipline.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in program implementation, preferably in skilling, livelihoods, or the development sector.
Prior experience managing training or skilling centres is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Proven people management experience (team size of 4-7 members).
Strong stakeholder engagement and public presentation skills.
Confident interacting with senior government officials, donors, and private sector partners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Self-driven, proactive, and result-oriented with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
Flexible, adaptable, and willing to experiment to improve outcomes.
Digital Skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets).
Experience using video conferencing and collaboration tools such as Zoom and Google Meet.
