Udayan Care, established in 1994, is a national-level NGO dedicated to uplifting underserved communities across 38 cities in 15 states of India. It works with children, women, and youth through education, mentorship, and skilling programs. The organisation is nationally and internationally recognised for its impactful work and is registered on Niti Aayog's Darpan platform.
About the Program - Skilling & Livelihoods (IT Program):
Started in 2004, Udayan Care's IT Program empowers underserved youth through skill training in collaboration with NSDC, Microsoft, and Tally Education. With 25 centres in 6 states, over 30,000 students have been trained and 7,585 placed in jobs.
The program also supports underprivileged women through skill-building in tailoring, beauty, crafts, etc., marketed under the brand name Sukriti.
Role Overview:
The IT Centre Coordinator ensures smooth functioning of the IT training centre and leads operations, including training delivery, staff coordination, mobilisation, assessments, community outreach, and reporting. The coordinator reports to the UCIT Programme Head.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day project implementation and staff/student coordination.
Train youth in MS Office and Advanced Excel.
Assess trainees and supervise centre activities.
Mobilise students through campaigns and local outreach.
Conduct workshops, events, and holistic development sessions.
Financial & Administrative
Maintain student records via ERP system.
Submit weekly/monthly/quarterly reports.
Communicate with students and parents.
Travel to other centres or HO (Delhi) for trainings/events.
Additional
Carry out duties or projects assigned by the Department Head.
What are we looking for?
1-2 years of experience in NGO or skilling projects.
Graduate/Postgraduate (preferably B.Com, BCA, M.Com, MCA) with a 1-year diploma in computer applications.
Passionate about community work and willing to travel.
