Role Summary
The Center Manager will be responsible for the overall management, coordination, and smooth functioning of the DDU-GKY training center at Solan. The role includes overseeing training operations, mobilization, placements, compliance with DDU-GKY guidelines, staff management, and coordination with DOR/State authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Center Operations & Administration
Manage day-to-day operations of the DDU-GKY training center.
Ensure infrastructure, classrooms, labs, hostel (if applicable), and facilities meet DDU-GKY norms.
Maintain all center-related records, registers, and documentation.
Training & Academic Management
Ensure timely commencement and completion of training batches.
Monitor trainer performance, attendance, and training quality.
Ensure adherence to approved QP/NOS and training curriculum.
Conduct internal assessments and support third-party assessments.
Mobilization & Admissions
Plan and execute mobilization activities in rural areas.
Ensure proper counseling, enrollment, and documentation of candidates.
Verify candidate eligibility as per DDU-GKY guidelines.
Placement & Post-Placement Tracking
Coordinate with placement teams to achieve placement targets.
Maintain placement records and post-placement tracking as per norms.
Ensure retention and tracking up to required DDU-GKY timelines.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure full compliance with DDU-GKY SOPs, MoRD, and State DOR guidelines.
Prepare and submit MIS reports, progress reports, and other required data.
Coordinate audits, inspections, and monitoring visits.
Team Management
Supervise trainers, mobilizers, counselors, MIS staff, and support staff.
Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
Ensure discipline, motivation, and productivity of center staff.
Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with State officials, district administration, SSCs, and partners.
Represent the center during inspections, reviews, and official meetings.
Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification
Graduate/Postgraduate in Management, Social Work, Rural Development, Education, or related fields.
Preference for candidates with DDU-GKY / PMKVY / Skill Development project experience.
Experience
Minimum
3-5 years
of experience in skill development projects.
At least
2 years
experience in managing a training center preferred.
Prior experience in
DDU-GKY
will be a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Good knowledge of DDU-GKY guidelines and MIS.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to handle audits, inspections, and government reporting.
Willingness to travel for mobilization and official work.
