The Diagnostic Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, administration, and business performance of the diagnostic center. The role ensures high-quality patient care, compliance with medical and safety standards, and efficient coordination among staff, clinicians, and external stakeholders. The manager also drives growth through effective financial management, service quality improvement, and marketing initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
Oversee day-to-day operations of the diagnostic center, including pathology, radiology, imaging, and other diagnostic services.
Ensure smooth patient flow, timely reporting, and quality service delivery.
Manage scheduling, maintenance, and utilization of diagnostic equipment.
Coordinate with medical and technical staff to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitor inventory and ensure availability of reagents, consumables, and supplies.
Administrative & HR Management
Supervise administrative, technical, and support staff.
Conduct recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of team members.
Implement work schedules and duty rosters.
Ensure a clean, safe, and patient-friendly environment.
Financial & Business Management
Prepare and manage budgets, revenue forecasts, and cost-control plans.
Monitor billing, collections, and financial reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and expand services.
Liaise with insurance providers, corporate clients, and referral partners.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with NABL/NABH/ISO and other accreditation standards.
Maintain proper documentation and records for audits.
Monitor quality control, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory and imaging equipment.
Implement infection control and patient safety protocols.
Customer Service & Communication
Address patient queries, complaints, and feedback promptly.
Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, hospitals, and corporate clients.
Support marketing activities and community outreach programs.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Management, Medical Laboratory Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
5+ years of experience in managing a diagnostic center, hospital laboratory, or healthcare facility.
Strong knowledge of diagnostic operations, accreditation standards, and healthcare regulations.
Experience in financial management and team leadership.
