We are over 700 financial professionals who provide high-quality finance and accounting services to DHL Group. We operate the financial and accounting processes for over 140 units of Express, P&P, Group Functions, Freight, eCommerce and Supply Chain - in Germany, the Alps and beyond. We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Chennai, India.
Your tasks and challenges
We in Finance Services have started our journey over the next years becoming a global service provider on a standardized SAP S/4 accounting platform. Be part of this journey and become the central pillar for our new location and build up capabilities and expertise to shift accounting processes from country organizations to our Chennai location.
In alignment with the Process Owner in Germany you will:

• Define the transition roadmap and implement / streamline the services in Chennai along the Finance Services globalization strategy
• Scale up our young Accounting team for OTC, PTP and RTR services as well as a support team with digitization and automation expertise for our highly digitized accounting processes
• Adapt / set up all relevant policies, procedures and guidelines to define the necessary framework for the Chennai team to fulfill all quality requirements and KPIs of our internal customers and the group
• Recruit new team members and lead / develop the team by defining the right training measures and act as a coach and role model to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
• Be responsible for the end-to-end running of the location in alignment with all relevant stakeholders like Process Owner, hosting entity, Controlling and HR functions and ensure Business continuity at all times
• Contribute your expertise to the development of our organization in terms of profitability, efficiency and quality and align with internal customers and relevant stakeholders (C-level) within the group on regularly basis

Your profile:

• Strong management skills with experience in managing large and diverse teams towards objectives
• Excellent communication and consulting skills and experience on senior management level (C-level)
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to think and act with a cross-organizational and cross-process approach
• Solid Project Management experience including preparation, development and advancement of large-scale change programs through to implementation
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work cross functionally/divisionally with senior management
• Mobile, flexible in terms of time and ready for business trips at home and abroad
• Located in or willingness to relocate to Chennai

Education Level

• Master's degree in finance or accounting

Experience Level

• At least 10 years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably in a shared service center environment
• 5-8 years of senior management experience with emphasis on implementing new services in a culturally heterogeneous environment
• Experience with strategic and operational development in a globally operating company
