The Centre Head is responsible for the overall management, operations, academic quality, safety, and parent satisfaction of the play school. The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and an understanding of early childhood education.
Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the centre.
Ensure compliance with school policies, health & safety standards, and statutory requirements.
Manage centre resources, inventory, and maintenance.
Prepare and maintain records, schedules, and reports.
2. Academic & Curriculum Coordination
Ensure proper implementation of the curriculum and lesson plans.
Monitor teaching quality and maintain high academic standards.
Coordinate teacher training and development programs.
Plan events, celebrations, and learning activities.
3. Staff Management
Lead, guide, and support teachers and support staff.
Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance evaluation.
Foster a positive and collaborative work culture.
4. Parent Interaction & Communication
Maintain strong relationships with parents through regular communication.
Handle parent queries, feedback, and concerns effectively.
Conduct orientation programs, PTMs, and workshops.
5. Admissions & Business Development
Drive admissions and meet enrolment targets.
Conduct centre tours, counseling sessions, and marketing activities.
Work with the management on promotional strategies and community outreach.
6. Child Safety & Well-being
Ensure a safe, nurturing, and hygienic environment for children.
Monitor child behaviour, classroom discipline, and safety protocols.
Address incidents or emergencies as per policy.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation:
Graduate/Postgraduate (Preferred: Early Childhood Education, Montessori, Education Management, Psychology).
Experience:
2-5 years of experience as a centre head, coordinator, or preschool teacher (depending on school requirements).
Skills:
Strong leadership and people management.
Excellent communication and counselling abilities.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of early childhood education practices.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
