of Centre Head Swadha Foundation is an educational charity seeking to help needy people, emphasising Higher Education. Underprivileged children are often thrust as breadwinners, quashing their ambitions to meet immediate economic needs. Refer more about us at www.swfn.org Purpose: The Centre Head is responsible for managing centre operations and provides leadership in strategic and operational planning. They lead the development of centre initiatives and improvements for effectively delivering Swadha programmes. They also oversee student selection from the assigned districts. While coordinating all centre operations, the Centre Head brings leadership qualities such as initiative, independent decision-making, and empathy. They will ultimately have overall ownership of the Swadha\'s activities. The centre head will represent the Swadha Foundation across Educational institutions and society at large in their regions of operation. They are an experienced individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders. Set an example for team members of commitment, centre process and activities, work ethics and habits and personal character. Reporting The Centre Head will report to the Director of Operations, Swadha Foundation. Education and Experience : Ideally a postgraduate worked in an Education Institution or an NGO as a teacher or Principal with at least ten years of experience. Must have competencies: A Service-minded person who thinks they get money for doing and being good. Working with M.S. Office tools, Google Forms, sending meeting invites, setting up Google/Zoom Meet for online meetings, sending and responding to emails or messages, preparing reports in PowerPoint, excel, word etc. Good communication in English and Vernacular languages (Telugu/Kannada/Tamil, depending on the location of the centre head) Non-discriminatory approach by cast/religion/region and motivate students Work experience in a school or NGO where the candidate has dealt with early or late adolescent students. Roles and Responsibilities As Administrator Lead and oversee daily centre operations and coordinate Centre activities with the assistance of the centre co-ordinator; prioritise and delegate work activities. Prepares periodic reports, budgets, and report status on items for management or stakeholders. Maintains direct contact on mobile or email with External people such as local personnel, parents, and mentors. Internal Swadha people include skill development managers, placement coordinators, teachers, trustees and other Swadha centre personnel. Monitor, Progress and improve to achieve the centre\'s various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Making sure all resources at the centre are effectively used and well maintained. Anchoring the visits of potential donors/ donors/management as host and demonstrating the Swadha student\'s capability, organisation process and monitoring mechanisms Organising events in the centre or other locations, such as graduation and induction day - offline master classes - tests and interviews. As a guardian of Swadha Students: Confers with and advises co-ordinator and students to provide technical advice, problem-solving assistance, and answers to questions on rules and policy interpretations; refers to the appropriate person at Swadha when unable to respond. Serves as Swadha representative by responding to and resolving emergencies of students. Manage escalations/feedback from management and mentors. Ensure good attendance of students to classes conducted by the Swadha Foundation or in their colleges. This task might require calling students/ parents of errant students, counselling them on benefits, and finding solutions to problems. Monitoring and reviewing student abilities quartile across subjects with each professor or expert, coordinate and plan with the skill development Manager of Swadha Foundation any academic and skilling tracks. Negotiates and prepares PG /Hostel contracts, determining fees and fixing contract terms; ensures students live in a hygienic environment with good food and an environment to study. Periodically visit and give and take feedback from hostel wardens. Has periodical interaction with parents of the Swadha students. As a member of the selectors of students for scholarship Conducting information sessions and awareness programs on the Swadha Scholarship in all colleges/schools where 1st class students are studying before distributing and collecting applications as per eligibility criteria. Coordinate with volunteers to ensure application data is entered and selected students attend interviews and tests. Participating and coordinating home visits.
