JOB DESCRIPTION: CENTRE DIRECTRESS Leadership and Management: o Provide strong leadership to a team of teachers and support staff. o Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. o Set and communicate clear expectations for staff performance. o Supervise and support staff in their professional development. Curriculum and Educational Programs: o Oversee the development and implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum. o Ensure that all educational programs align with relevant early childhood education standards. o Monitor and assess the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary improvements. Operations Management: o Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, enrolment, and parent communication. o Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized preschool environment. o Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Financial Management: o Develop and manage the centre's budget. o Monitor expenses, revenue, and financial performance. o Seek opportunities to increase enrollment and revenue. Parent and Community Engagement: o Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and families. o Foster community partnerships and outreach efforts to enhance the centre's reputation. Staff Development: o Recruit, hire, and train teaching and support staff. o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback. o Develop professional growth plans for staff members.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to enrolment, attendance, and curriculum. o Prepare reports for the board and stakeholders as required. Skills and Specification o Education Qualification & Experience o Graduation + 2-3 years of experience as a Centre Directress/Branch Head OR o Graduation + 2-3 years of experience in client management OR o Graduation + 5 years of Teaching Experience o Efficient enough to understand a child's development and needs. o Ability to work with parents and encourage their involvement. o Proven ability to take key decisions independently and lead a team. o Ability to self - evaluate learning needs and actively seek learning opportunities. o Should have an influential personality with excellent communication skills (spoken and written) o Basic Computer Knowledge - MS Excel - - - - - MS Power Point MS Word Email Writing Google Drive Google Sheets
