You will be responsible for ensuring consistent quality, timely preparation, and high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and present authentic Mexican dishes (tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, salsas, etc.).
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation as per restaurant standards.
Assist in menu planning and contribute innovative ideas for new Mexican dishes.
Supervise and guide junior chefs and kitchen staff in your section.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Manage portion control, minimize wastage, and monitor inventory for your section.
Collaborate with the Head Chef and other departments for smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a CDP or Demi Chef specializing in Mexican cuisine.
Strong knowledge of Mexican cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients.
Culinary degree/diploma or relevant certification preferred.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
