The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes, and ensuring consistent taste and presentation. You will also assist in menu innovation, team supervision, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and kitchen efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Take charge of a designated kitchen section (grill, hot kitchen, cold kitchen, etc.).
Prepare and present dishes according to restaurant standards and plating guidelines.
Supervise and train Commis and Demi Chef staff in your section.
Ensure consistency in flavor, quality, and portion control across all dishes.
Follow standard recipes and assist in the creation of new dishes in coordination with the Head Chef.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in your workstation at all times.
Ensure proper storage and handling of all ingredients (FIFO, HACCP compliance).
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering as needed.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff for smooth service during peak hours.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, including at least 1 year as CDP.
Strong knowledge of [multi-cuisine / continental / modern Indian / bar food - customize as needed].
Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
Ability to lead a small team and work efficiently under pressure.
Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
