Perform prep work such as chopping, measuring, and butchering ingredients.
Plates dishes in a visually appealing way.
Station and inventory management
Set up and maintain their specific workstation before and after service.
Track and manage inventory for their section, monitoring stock levels and expiration dates.
Ensure food is stored properly to prevent waste and spoilage.
Quality and safety
Ensure all food meets the establishment's quality standards and is prepared according to customer requests.
Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards, and ensure their workstation is clean and sanitized.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any issues.
Team and coordination
Supervise and train junior chefs or cooks working in their section.
Coordinate with other chef de parties to ensure smooth kitchen operations and consistent dish production.
Assist senior chefs with tasks like menu development or recipe modification.
Motivate the team and maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
