for CDP - PastryResponsibilities:

• Assist the Pastry Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pastry and baking department.
• Lead and supervise a team of pastry cooks and commis, delegating tasks and ensuring that production schedules are met.
• Prepare and produce a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts according to standardized recipes and specifications.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of baked products, ensuring that they meet presentation and taste standards.
• Train and mentor junior pastry staff, providing guidance on pastry and baking techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation practices.
• Coordinate with other kitchen sections and departments to ensure timely delivery of baked goods and pastries for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry and baking section of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Assist in menu planning and development, contributing ideas for new pastry and dessert offerings, seasonal specials, and menu enhancements.
• Participate in inventory management tasks, including stock rotation, ordering, and receiving of ingredients and supplies for the pastry and baking department.
• Adhere to kitchen procedures, policies, and standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and industry best practices.

• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional pastry or baking environment.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent pastry and baking skills, with a passion for creativity and innovation in recipe development and presentation.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic baking environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
