Job Title: Chef de Partie (CDP) - Asian Cuisine
The Chef de Partie - Asian Cuisine is responsible for managing a specific kitchen section specializing in Asian dishes. The role ensures consistent food quality, authentic flavors, efficient kitchen operations, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards while supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the Asian cuisine section (e.g., Wok, Tandoor, Sushi, Curry, Teppanyaki)
Prepare and present high-quality Asian dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure authenticity, consistency, and timely service of food
Supervise, train, and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety (HACCP)
Control food costs, minimize wastage, and manage portion control
Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal specials
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO)
Coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth service operations
Monitor equipment usage and report maintenance issues
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent
Proven experience as a CDP or Senior Commis Chef in Asian cuisine
Strong knowledge of Asian cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients
Experience in high-volume kitchens or luxury hospitality preferred
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
