We are seeking a skilled CCTV Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting surveillance systems across various sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical systems, computer networking, and system design, with the ability to interpret schematics and work with a range of hand and power tools. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects within construction, telecommunication, and security industries, ensuring the effective operation of CCTV systems to meet client requirements.
Responsibilities
Install and configure CCTV systems in accordance with technical specifications and schematics
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of existing surveillance equipment
Work with electrical wiring, telecommunication cabling, and system design plans
Utilise hand tools and power tools to assemble and secure equipment in various environments
Interpret technical schematics, system diagrams, and design documents for installation purposes
Collaborate with construction teams during site setup and integration of CCTV infrastructure
Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and company policies
Diagnose system faults using IDS (Intrusion Detection System) tools and resolve issues efficiently
Provide technical support for system upgrades or modifications as required
Experience
Proven experience working with CCTV systems, including installation and maintenance
Strong knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to surveillance systems
Mechanical knowledge related to hardware assembly and equipment mounting
Familiarity with electrical systems, wiring practices, and schematics interpretation
Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and construction environments
Understanding of telecommunication infrastructure and system design principles
Knowledge of IDS (Intrusion Detection System) technologies is advantageous
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
Previous experience in telecommunication or security system installation is desirable
