CCTV Technician

Job Summary:

The CCTV Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of CCTV systems and related security equipment on the client location. This includes configuring cameras, DVR/NVR systems, access control systems, and ensuring optimal system performance to maintain security and surveillance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and test CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and related equipment. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CCTV and security systems. Inspect and repair malfunctioning equipment or wiring issues. Ensure all installations comply with safety and quality standards. Monitor and assess system performance; upgrade firmware and software as needed. Provide technical support and training to clients or end-users on system operation. Maintain accurate documentation of installation, service, and repair work. Coordinate with IT and security teams to integrate CCTV systems with network infrastructure. Ensure all work meets company and customer specifications and deadlines. Stay updated on new CCTV technologies, tools, and installation techniques.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience as a CCTV technician or similar technical role. Strong knowledge of analog and IP CCTV systems, cabling, and network configuration. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings. Hands-on experience with DVR/NVR systems, video management software, and access control. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routers, switches Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces. Valid driver's license (if field work is required).

Work Environment:

Field and office-based work. May require working on weekend also.
