to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CCTV systems. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality security surveillance by configuring systems, testing equipment, and providing support for both new installations and existing setups.
Responsibilities
Install CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, cables, and other surveillance equipment at client sites
Configure recording devices, set up motion detection, and manage camera angles
Test and verify system functionality after installation (video quality, frame rates, remote access)
Maintain and repair CCTV systems (replace faulty hardware, upgrade firmware)
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks
Troubleshoot network connectivity, power issues, and video recording problems
Carry out customer training on system use (how to view live feed, playback, etc.)
Create technical documentation: wiring diagrams, device lists, IP addresses
Coordinate with vendors and other technical teams for advanced issues
Provide on-call support for system outages or emergency repairs
Requirements
Minimum
2 years of experience
as a CCTV Technician or in a related role
Technical knowledge of analog and IP-based CCTV systems
Hands-on experience with installation of cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and cabling (coaxial, Ethernet)
Basic understanding of networking: IP addressing, switches, PoE (Power over Ethernet)
Proficiency with surveillance software and remote viewing setups
Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues
Comfortable working at heights (ladders, rooftops)
Basic knowledge of power supply systems (SMPS, 12V DC adaptors)
Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and technical documentation
Good communication skills to instruct customers and interact with teams
Valid driving license (if travel to client sites is required)
Good to Have
Experience with advanced security systems: PTZ cameras, thermal imaging, or analytics-enabled cameras
Knowledge of video analytics, AI-based surveillance (intrusion detection, facial recognition)
Certification in CCTV installation or network devices
Experience with cloud-based video surveillance and remote backup solutions
Skills in basic electrical work (power circuit, UPS)
Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts for secure video transmission
Experience with mobile apps / remote viewing tools (smartphone, tablet)
