Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and disciplined ELV Technician who can install, configure, test, and maintain Extra Low Voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarm, networking, AV systems, and automation. The role requires strong site execution capability, neat workmanship, and coordination with the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Execution

Install and terminate cables for CCTV, networking, access control, PA systems, AV systems, automation, and other ELV services. Mount and align cameras, speakers, displays, access readers, sensors, etc. Rack mounting and basic dressing of AV/network racks. Ensure proper labeling and neat cable management.

Testing & Commissioning

Test installed systems and ensure functionality as per project scope. Assist engineers in system commissioning and troubleshooting. Identify faults in cabling, power supply, or devices and rectify them.

Maintenance & Service

Attend service calls and perform repairs or replacements. Conduct preventive maintenance when required. Maintain service reports and work updates.

Coordination

Coordinate with site supervisors, project managers, and other technicians. Follow site safety rules and project timelines. Communicate daily work progress.

Material Handling

Handle tools and equipment responsibly. Check and report material shortages or damages. Assist in loading/unloading project materials.

Technical Skills Required:

Basic understanding of: CCTV systems Networking (LAN cabling, switches, basic IP knowledge) Access control & door locking systems Audio-Video systems Fire alarm systems (basic) Cable termination: CAT6, coax, power cables Use of basic tools: drilling machine, crimping tool, tester, ladder/scaffolding Reading basic wiring diagrams and layouts

Preferred Qualifications:

ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or similar field 2-5 years experience in ELV systems Two-wheeler with license preferred for site movement
