The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and managing surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of the premises. This role involves real-time observation of CCTV feeds, reporting suspicious activities, maintaining video records, and coordinating with security personnel during incidents.
Key Responsibilities
o Monitoring & Surveillance.
o Monitor live CCTV feeds to detect suspicious activities, security breaches, and safety hazards.
o Track and follow movements of persons or vehicles of interest across cameras.
o Ensure proper functioning of all CCTV equipment and report technical issues immediately.
o Incident Response & Reporting.
o Respond promptly to observed incidents by notifying the Security Supervisor or relevant authorities.
o Prepare accurate and detailed reports of daily observations, incidents, and equipment issues.
o Provide recorded footage when requested for investigations.
o Conduct routine checks to ensure cameras, recording systems, and storage devices are operating effectively.
o Assist in troubleshooting basic technical issues and escalate when necessary.
o Maintain strict confidentiality regarding surveillance operations and recorded footage.
o Follow company policies, safety procedures, and legal regulations related to monitoring and data protection.
Qualifications & Skills
o High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training is an advantage.
o Prior experience in CCTV monitoring or security operations preferred.
o Good observational and multitasking skills.
o Basic computer literacy and familiarity with CCTV systems/software.
o Ability to handle stressful or emergency situations calmly and responsibly.
o Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
