Position Summary

The CCB Data Use and Access Team is part of a team within the CCB Data Management and Governance organization, responsible for managing data access protocols across our Data and Analytics Platforms. We also ensure Legal and Contractual restrictions and/or Consumer Data Use Council approvals are controlled for CCB Data, in adherence with Firmwide and Regulatory requirements and standards. The individual in this newly designed role will be part of the team supporting both the tactical solutions to maintain access controls, as well as contributing to the build and implementation of our strategic initiatives to better manage our access in a consistent, holistic fashion. The person in this role reports to the CCB Data Access Executive within the CCB Data Management and Governance organization.

  • Hands on experience on Cyber Security Tools, Identity & Access Management tools
  • Operating systems: Windows XP, 7, 8
  • Hands on experience on Access management ticketing tool
  • Quality Knowledge: ITIL standards, part of Quality Team and participated in internal and external audits

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance)
  • Remediate and strengthen gaps in our Data Access Controls through role design, management and oversight
  • Decision large volumes of access approvals in accordance with a pre-defined decision rule-set. Handle and prioritize large volumes of time-sensitive volumes with accuracy and exercise sound judgement on when to escalate for assistance.
  • Partner with the Business on Entitlement/Certification Management through Access Management tool/Certification tool to request to add, modify, renew, retire, or revoke certificates. Implement and execute access administration and recertification programs across a variety of data environments and platforms (ie. Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, Hortonworks, Cloudera, Greenplum and Cloud technologies - AWS , Snowflake)
  • Communicate effectively with Business partners on exception management and optimal path(s) to resolution
  • Ensure compliance with Data Use Approvals, Legal and contractual permissions, least privilege concepts, client agreements, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Partner with members of the larger Data Management organization and technology in the design, writing and implementing of Access Policies
  • Developing and performing ongoing monitoring programs to ensure compliance with Firmwide Data Governance and Data Security policies
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team on the implementation of a strategic solution for monitoring access restrictions and permissions across our data environments
  • Participate in the design, build, communication, implementation and on-going operating model for access support
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the larger CCB organization on Access related matters
Additional Responsibilities Includes
  • Design and publish management reporting on access controls programs, recertification efforts and metrics
  • Review, approve and manage access to CCB Data and remediate as needed
  • Navigate the organization and partner with Risk, Finance, LOBs, Control partners, and other functional partners to identify key dependencies to deliver results
  • Manage issues and management decisions to timely resolution
  • Possesses strong knowledge of consumer businesses and ability to build and strengthen partnerships across functions and locations to achieve objectives
  • Communicates effectively with various levels of management to resolve conflicts through collaboration aggressive follow up
  • Manage large volumes of data with attention to detail, professionalism, accuracy and consistency
Qualification, Knowledge and Experience
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in analytics and technology related positions
  • Familiarity with data environments and platforms such as Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, Hortonworks, Cloudera, Greenplum and Cloud technologies - AWS , Snowflake
  • Experience and proficiency with writing basic sequel statements
  • Familiarity and experience with data extraction and query tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver to a tight deadline without compromising quality
  • Experience identifying strategic improvements and delivering measurable change
  • Ability to find simple, workable solutions to complex problems working without compromising our controls
  • Experience with Visio, Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Experienced and proven ability to gather/analyze complex data, develop accurate conclusions and provide recommendations with sufficient comprehension of the business to understand risk implications
