CBG Plant Operator

Job Summary:

The CBG Plant Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the various processes involved in the generation, purification, compression, and storage of Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG). The operator ensures safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant plant operations in line with operational targets and maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor equipment such as:
o Anaerobic digesters

o H2S scrubbers and moisture traps

o Biogas purification units VPSA/PSA Based

o CBG compressors and cascades

o Flare stacks and safety devices

Start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting of the plant as per SOPs. Maintain logbooks, operating records, and shift reports. Monitor gas quality parameters like methane %, CO2, H2S, and moisture content. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks. Coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdown repairs and preventive maintenance. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards. Monitor feedstock handling (e.g., cow dung, press mud, food/agri waste) and slurry management. Assist with calibration and upkeep of instruments like gas analyzers, flow meters, and pressure gauges. Participate in emergency response drills and safety audits.

Skills & Qualifications:

ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in biogas, CBG, or related process industries (preferred). Knowledge of CBG plant components and operating procedures. Ability to read and understand P&IDs, SOPs, and safety manuals. Basic understanding of PLC/SCADA-controlled systems (if applicable). Strong commitment to safety and quality. Willingness to work in shifts and in rural or semi-urban locations.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in outdoor and industrial plant environments. Should be physically fit to handle valves, hoses, ladders, etc. Capable of wearing PPE like helmets, gloves, and safety shoes.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
