1. Assist in transporting patients to nursing units.
2. Attend to patient needs during cardiac lab procedures.
3. Circulate during procedure, as applicable.
4. Provide support to cardiologists and registered nurses for the execution and technical analysis of procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheter Lab.
5. Obtain required patient history & consents, review for accuracy, completeness & verify patient identification & information prior to patient procedure.
6. Perform and interprets electrocardiograms and other diagnostic tests.
7. Ensuring cardiology patients are comfortable by answering any questions they have about the tests.
8. Recording the results of cardiological tests and consulting with the physician on duty to schedule any follow-up tests.
9. Notify doctors and nurses about patient test results.
10. Observe patient for any complications of catheterization procedure
11. Observe all fluid infusion and patency of catheters
12. Assist physicians during non-evasive cardiological procedures by monitoring the patients' heart rates and alerting the physicians to any readings outside normal ranges.
13. Maintaining cardiological equipment and supplies with daily cleanings and adjustments.
14. Obtain and records hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating - hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
15. Participate in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
16. Participate in On-call per established call schedule, if applicable.
17. Prepare patient and equipment for cardiac lab procedures by preparing site of entry, - draping patient, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
18. Prepare the Cardiac Lab procedures rooms by ensuring that adequate stock is available.
19. Scrub during procedure, as applicable. Assists the physician in manoeuvring catheters.
20. Responsible for cleaning medical equipment & keep an orderly work area for improved efficacy.
