The Catering Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all catering operations to ensure high-quality food service, customer satisfaction, cost control, and smooth execution of catering events and orders.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Event Management
Plan, organize, and manage catering events, bulk orders, and daily catering operations.
Coordinate with clients regarding menus, pricing, delivery schedules, and special requirements.
Ensure timely preparation, packaging, and delivery of food items.
Menu Planning & Food Quality
Coordinate with chefs for menu planning and customization based on client needs.
Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.
Maintain hygiene, food safety standards, and FSSAI compliance.
Staff Management
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise catering staff.
Assign duties and monitor staff performance during events and operations.
Ensure discipline, punctuality, and teamwork among staff.
Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor raw material usage, inventory levels, and vendor supplies.
Control food costs, wastage, and operational expenses.
Coordinate with purchase and stores department for timely procurement.
Customer Service & Sales Support
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
Support sales team in securing new catering orders and corporate tie-ups.
Build strong relationships with clients and vendors.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain event records, invoices, staff attendance, and expense reports.
Prepare daily/weekly operational reports for management.
Ensure proper billing and payment follow-ups.

Qualification & Experience
Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Catering Technology, or related field
Minimum
3-5 years
experience in catering or food service operations
Experience in event catering or bulk food production preferred
Working Conditions

Fieldwork during events and outdoor catering assignments
