Job Responsibilities

Manage product categories on the e-commerce platform, including product selection, pricing, and inventory management.

Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.

Monitor and analyze sales performance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.

Manage vendor relationships, negotiate commercial terms, and define performance metrics.

Develop, maintain, and optimize product content, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.

Track industry and market trends and recommend new product categories or improvements to existing ones.

Lead, guide, and mentor a team of category specialists and analysts.

Provide oversight and conduct (when required) physical inventory checks and cycle counts.

Ensure compliance with FSSAI, local authorities, and regulatory requirements.

Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in e-commerce operations or category management.

Excellent Excel skills with strong data analysis capabilities.

Strong analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision making.

Hands-on experience with project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Excellent communication, leadership, and people-management skills.

Strong negotiation skills with proven vendor management experience.

In-depth knowledge of e-commerce platforms and product content management systems.

Thorough working knowledge of Amazon, Flipkart, and other online marketplaces (mandatory).

Understanding of legal, regulatory, and product compliance requirements.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Experience managing a team of category specialists or analysts (preferred).

Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.

Excellent problem-solving skills.
