Position Overview
The
Category Marketing Manager - Process & Energy Efficiency
will architect and execute a global strategy to position Infinite Uptime as the benchmark brand in industrial process and energy optimization. You will drive demand generation, market differentiation, and executive-level engagement by leveraging data-centric storytelling, industry thought leadership, and an ecosystem approach across manufacturing, utilities, and process sectors.
The role requires both strategic vision and tactical excellence, combining deep domain familiarity (industrial IoT, energy analytics, manufacturing transformation) with proven marketing leadership. Success will be measured by market share gains, brand visibility (including external reference ability and analyst rankings), CXO engagement, and direct sales enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Category Leadership & Brand Positioning
Define and evolve Infinite Uptime's category narrative, ensuring market leadership in process/energy efficiency.
Develop and oversee branding initiatives that maximize "top 10 visible brand" status by influencing external references, analyst reports, and sector publications.
Strategic Marketing & Campaigns
Lead high-value demand generation campaigns targeting CXO-level decision-makers within top 200 industrial accounts.
Origin and execute cross-platform content (industry insights, whitepapers, case studies, digital PR, events) that advances Infinite Uptime's reputation as an innovation and outcomes leader.
Executive Engagement & Thought Leadership
Orchestrate executive events, roundtables, and speaking opportunities, cultivating a network of referenceable client CXOs and industry advocates.
Partner with sales to co-develop enablement programs that convert targeted prospects into active champions.
Market Intelligence & Customer Insights
Systematically map market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor plays to inform positioning, product launches, and GTM plans.
Establish closed-loop feedback with client sponsors to influence roadmap and communication priorities.
Performance Analytics & Budget Ownership
Define, track, and report on category-specific KPIs (brand ranking, CXO engagement, campaign ROI, sales impact), course-correcting for optimum results.
Manage category marketing budgets with a focus on efficiency and measurable outcomes.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Lead cross-functional squads--product, digital, partnerships--to ensure alignment and acceleration of category initiatives across all markets.
What You Bring
Bachelor's/Master's in Marketing, Engineering, Business, or relevant discipline.
7+ years in B2B marketing or category management; direct experience in industrial tech, process optimization, manufacturing SaaS, or energy efficiency required.
Demonstrated success in building or repositioning brands to category leadership, particularly with CXO or enterprise clients.
Strong command of data-driven marketing, content strategy, and digital channels, coupled with executive gravitas.
Track record of launching and scaling complex industrial solutions through multi-tiered campaigns and ecosystem partnerships.
Superior communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Additions
Experience working with global industrial clients in a scale-up or transformation environment.
Established network among industrial IoT/energy efficiency thought leaders, analysts, or client CXOs.
Certification in digital marketing, ABM (account-based marketing), or smart factory/energy management.
Familiarity with Leads, CRM and analytics platforms (Apollo, LinkedIn, Salesforce, HubSpot, Power BI), and advanced marketing automation.
