We're looking for a strategic and dynamic
Category Marketing Manager
to lead our food and beverage ingredients portfolio in India and beverage category for APAC region. This role is pivotal in translating global strategy into regional execution for driving growth, innovation, and customer engagement.
This is more than a marketing role! It's a cross-functional leadership opportunity that connects Sales, Technical Services, and Global Marketing to deliver compelling value propositions and enable solution selling.
What You'll Do
Lead Regional Category Strategy & Execution
Own the category portfolio across product lines, ensuring clear value propositions for go-to-market (GTM) teams
Provide sales enablement tools and resources to support solution selling and opportunity conversion
Act as the bridge between Sales and Technical Services, contributing category insights to commercial plans
Drive Customer Engagement & Growth
Participate in customer meetings to inform solution development and support sales conversion
Conduct market and competitor intelligence to shape strategy and account plans
Lead category and brand appraisals to identify gaps and growth opportunities
Champion Innovation
Consolidate regional customer problems and collaborate with global teams to prioritize innovation
Develop regional business cases and support ideation for new products
Guide product launches with compelling value propositions and consumer insights
Accelerate Regional Category Growth
Lead cross-functional teams to implement the annual category growth plan
Partner with Sales and TS to grow the opportunity pipeline
Support demand generation campaigns and train GTM teams on category trends
Contribute to Global Strategy
Represent the region in developing the global category strategy (5+ year horizon)
Provide regional insights to shape technical roadmaps and strategic plans
Monitor category performance and profitability, recommending actions for improvement
You are well suited for the role if you have:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Food Science/Technology, or related field
Solid experience in B2B marketing, preferably in food & beverage specialty ingredients or flavors
Proven expertise in strategic marketing planning and product launches
Strong financial acumen for category analysis and growth planning
Experience developing sales tools and enablement tactics
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to travel domestically (30-40%)
Desirable Qualifications
Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM or equivalent)
Working knowledge of Salesforce (SFDC)
Experience in an international business environment
Beverage category experience is a plus
