Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Retail Category Manager to oversee and drive the growth of assigned product categories. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales and profitability. This role requires a deep understanding of customer preferences, market trends, and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities

Category Strategy Development
Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives.
Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities.

Product Management
Determine optimal product assortment and maintain inventory levels.
Collaborate with suppliers to source and negotiate pricing for quality products.

Pricing and Promotions
Develop competitive pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Plan and execute category-specific promotions and marketing campaigns.

Performance Analysis
Monitor sales performance, margins, and inventory turnover for the category.
Generate reports and provide actionable insights to improve category performance.

Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align category goals.
Ensure timely product launches and promotional activities.

Customer Experience
Focus on improving customer satisfaction by curating high-demand products.
Gather customer feedback to refine category offerings.
Requirements
Proven experience in category management, retail merchandising, or similar roles.
Strong analytical skills with expertise in market and data analysis.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
Proficiency in retail software, inventory management tools, and data visualization platforms.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
