We are seeking an experienced and visionary professional to lead the Power Weeder Category, which is Balwaan's flagship and top-line product segment. As the Category Leader, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and scaling the entire Power Weeder business. This role demands a mix of strategic thinking, deep industry knowledge, and hands-on execution to establish Balwaan as the dominant player in this category.

Category Leader - Power Weeder Segment

Responsibilities & Duties:

Category Development & Growth: Build and execute the long-term roadmap for the Power Weeder segment, driving both sales growth and market penetration. Product Strategy: Work with R&D and supply chain teams to ensure the product portfolio aligns with farmer needs, competitive benchmarking, and market trends. Channel & Distribution Expansion: Strengthen and expand dealer networks, retail channels, and institutional partnerships to maximize reach and availability. Market Positioning: Define and implement strategies to position Balwaan Power Weeders as the industry standard, with emphasis on quality, affordability, and after-sales support. Sales Enablement: Provide training, tools, and strategies to sales teams and partners to ensure strong category performance. Performance Tracking: Monitor category KPIs (sales volume, market share, profitability) and take corrective actions where required. Competitor Analysis: Continuously benchmark against competition, pricing strategies, and innovations in the agri-machinery space. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with marketing, operations, and service teams to deliver seamless farmer experiences and maximize category growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Graduation in any stream (mandatory); MBA in Marketing / Business Development / Strategy preferred. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in agri-machinery, with strong exposure to the Power Weeder or related mechanization segment. Proven expertise in category management, sales growth, and dealer/distributor handling. Strong analytical and strategic mindset with executional rigor. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (Hindi & English). Willingness to travel extensively across key agricultural markets in India.

12 Lakh - 15 Lakh per Annum
