Position: Category Head: Frames
Department: Vision Commercial
Reporting Structure: Head of Business Development and collaborate with various stakeholders to align frame initiatives with ZEISS's strategic goals.
Overview: ZEISS is seeking a highly experienced Category Head of Frame Lead the strategy for eyewear products in India. This role is essential for driving innovation, establishing a strong market presence, and driving the development, sourcing, and expansion of eyewear products.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Take charge in developing and executing strategies for the successful introduction and expansion of eyewear portfolios including white label products and international frame brands, ensuring alignment with ZEISS's overall vision.
Product Development and Sourcing: Manage the end-to-end product development process, including actively sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, oversee product lifecycle ensuring product quality and compliance with ZEISS standards.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a sales strategy to introduce new products, lead and mentor the frame sales team with training and resources and analyze performance metrics to refine strategies for revenue growth.
Contract Management: Negotiate and establish contracts and agreements with frame partners, distributors, and manufacturers to facilitate smooth operations and mutual growth.
Marketing Strategy: Create and implement effective marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement across various channels.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project success and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of frame initiatives and alignment with business objectives.
Team Development: Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in project execution.
Networking: Build strong relationships with eyecare professionals and industry stakeholders in India and beyond to enhance product visibility, while representing the company at events to promote products and gather market insights.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Experience:Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience with at least 7 years in the eyewear or retail industry, demonstrating a proven track record of successfully launching and scaling brands.
Experience in eyewear product management, brand management is a must
Additional, experience in business development, strategic marketing, sales would be a huge plus.
Skills:Strong strategic thinking and leadership abilities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and project management tools.
Deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior in the eyewear segment.
Hands-on individual ready to work diligently and build systems from the ground up."
