The Catalogue Executive will be responsible for managing and maintaining the online product catalogue across the company's website and marketplaces. This role ensures accurate product listings, high-quality catalog operations, and smooth coordination across teams to optimize the online shopping experience, improve sales performance, and maintain strong brand presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Catalogue & Product Data Management
Upload, update, and maintain complete and error-free product details (descriptions, prices, discounts, specifications, SKUs, and images/videos) on the website and marketplaces.
Ensure catalogue hygiene and consistency to maintain a high-quality score across online platforms.
Regularly monitor and resolve catalogue-related errors, stock mismatches, or listing issues.
Inventory & Sales Coordination
Track and update inventory levels daily across website and marketplaces (Shopify and others).
Coordinate with Buying & Merchandising teams to ensure real-time stock availability online.
Analyze sales & stock movement to position products strategically (fast-moving vs. slow-moving items).
Track and minimize lost sales opportunities due to missing products, sizes, or colors.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work with the Merchandising team to plan photoshoot schedules, organize product image/video libraries, and ensure timely content upload.
Partner with the Creative team to provide feedback on product presentation and digital creatives for better online engagement.
Collaborate with the E-commerce team to plan online promotions, sales campaigns, and product launches.
Customer Experience & Returns Management
Monitor product return percentages and work on strategies to minimize return rates.
Ensure smooth website user experience in terms of speed, clarity, navigation, and overall presentation.
Reports & Analysis
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales & inventory reports from Shopify and marketplaces.
Support planning and decision-making with data-driven insights on sales performance and stock levels.
Marketplace Operations
Manage catalog operations on e-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, Nykaa, AJIO, etc.
Maintain listings, promotions, pricing, discounts, deals, shipment planning, and order/return reports.
Build and streamline catalogue SOPs to improve accuracy, efficiency, and process compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
2-5 years in catalogue management, product listing, or e-commerce operations (mandatory).
Platforms:
Hands-on experience with Shopify, with strong knowledge of e-commerce seller portals (Amazon, Myntra, Nykaa, Flipkart, Ajio, etc.).
Technical:
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel & Google Sheets (sales/stock analysis, reporting dashboards).
Additional Tools:
Working knowledge of Photoshop or similar tools for image editing (advantageous).
Knowledge:
Understanding of retail, ethnic wear, and premium apparel is a plus.
Soft skills:
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, creative eye for product presentation, and excellent communication skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Retail, Business, E-commerce, or related field; certifications in e-commerce, inventory management, or social media marketing preferred.
