Project Location Dhahran SAUDI ARABIA Project tenure 36 months The Cataloguing service (Cataloguer) provided by CONTRACTOR shall meet the following requirements, work experience and/or educational experience: Minimum of five (5) years' experience of cataloguing in an archival context, with thorough knowledge of descriptive standards. . Demonstrable ability to work across large scale cataloguing projects and to successfully deliver projects on time, to agreed KPIs, and agreed descriptive standards (e.g. ISAD(G) or DACS). . Undergraduate or post-graduate qualifications in archiving, or information and records management is desirable, as is familiarity with written Arabic. . Ability to manage large analogue collections i.e. object handling, auditing, condition checking, accrual and analysis of analogue metadata, inventory creation, data logging, object tracking, physical preparation of assets for digitization including rehousing and labelling of assets post-capture. Excellent IT skills, in particular experience of back-office cataloguing systems (e.g. Axiell Calm or ArchivesSpace), and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data entry, quality assuring metadata and metadata enhancement. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills coupled with the ability to work to a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and consistency. . Excellent knowledge and understanding of licensing and rights, copyright, and risk review procedures, content sensitivity and a commitment to information security, as defined on a project basis. . Risk-orientated approach to project delivery i.e. ability to flag emerging risks early in their development and to successfully mitigate these in co ordination with the management team. Excellent verbal and written skills in the context of a project environment, with high expectations around communication.
