A Catalog Specialist manages and maintains product information for e-commerce, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and discoverability by collecting data, writing descriptions, categorizing items, performing quality checks, optimizing for search (SEO), and improving processes for a better customer experience. They handle the full product lifecycle, working with data, images, and cross-functional teams to enhance product listings and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Data Management: Collect, input, and update product details (specs, attributes, pricing, inventory) from various sources. Content Creation: Write clear, compelling, and SEO-friendly product descriptions, often leveraging vendor info and brand guidelines. Quality Control: Review and ensure 100% accuracy of product data, images, and compliance with category rules. Optimization: Structure catalogs for improved search ranking and user navigation, identifying opportunities for better customer experience. Process Improvement: Develop and implement scalable solutions to streamline catalog operations, increase productivity, and reduce errors. Collaboration: Work with merchandising, tech, content, and operations teams to resolve issues and drive strategic goals. Reporting: Create and share reports on catalog performance and operational metrics. Essential Skills: Attention to Detail: Crucial for error-free data entry and quality checks.
