Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Casting Technician.

Key responsibilities

Executing the casting process:

Technicians operate machinery to melt gold and pour it into prepared molds, ensuring the molten metal fills all details of the mold.

Lost wax casting:

They are experts in the lost wax method, which involves creating a wax model, encasing it in a plaster-like investment, and then burning out the wax to create a cavity for the gold.

Operating machinery:

They work with various casting machines, which can be manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic, to produce a wide range of jewelry pieces, from rings to pendants.

Quality control:

They are responsible for inspecting the cast pieces to ensure they meet the required standards for quality, size, and detail.

Maintenance:

They may also be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the casting equipment.

Skills and qualifications

Technical expertise:

A strong understanding of the casting process, including different types of alloys and molds, is essential.

Experience with machinery:

Proficiency in operating a variety of casting machines is a must.

Attention to detail:

A keen eye for detail is critical to produce high-quality and intricate pieces.

Problem-solving:

The ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during the casting process is a valuable skill.
