What you will do:

Experience with Apache/ADP Cassandra, including installing, configuring and monitoring a Cassandra cluster. Experience with Cassandra data modelling and CQL scripting. Experience with both Windows and Linux Operating Systems. Experience with Grafana monitoring tool. Strong hands on knowledge on Kubernetes. Data Replication and High Availability: Configure and manage Cassandra replication strategies to ensure data availability and durability Security and Access Control: Implement and enforce database security measures, including authentication, authorization, and encryption Implement data replication across multiple data centres and handle replication challenges, such as consistency and latency


The skills you bring:

Performance Monitoring and Tuning: Monitor the performance and health of Cassandra clusters Manage database schemas, tables, indexes, and user permissions Perform database backups, recovery, and restoration activities Analyse data access patterns and identify hotspots and bottlenecks. Design and review data models, and help developers plan high performing queries. Define and establish best practices with Cassandra, including configuration, monitoring health and backups of the cluster. Manage storage capacity of the cluster and help plan for growth based on future project goals. Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues as needed. Assume other responsibilities as needed
