Cashier and Sales Assistant
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling customer transactions, promoting bakery products, maintaining the display area, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting bakery products.
Operate the billing counter (POS machine) and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
Keep track of sales, issue receipts, and balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness at the counter and display shelves.
Refill stock, organize products, and ensure attractive product presentation.
Handle customer inquiries, provide product information, and resolve minor complaints.
Coordinate with the baking team for availability and freshness of items.
Follow all hygiene and food safety standards.
Requirements:
Education:
SSLC / Plus Two or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
1+ year experience in retail, preferably in a bakery or food outlet. Freshers with good communication skills may also apply.
Basic knowledge of operating POS systems and handling cash.
Friendly, customer-oriented personality with good communication skills in Malayalam (basic English and/or Hindi is a plus).
Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Must be punctual, trustworthy, and a team player.
