Job Description

A Retail Cashier processes customer transactions, operates a cash register or POS system, handles various payment methods, and maintains a clean checkout area. Key responsibilities include accurately scanning items, providing friendly customer service, resolving complaints, processing returns, and promoting loyalty programs. A successful cashier demonstrates strong multitasking, math, and communication skills, along with a positive and efficient demeanor to ensure a smooth and satisfying customer experience. Key Responsibilities

Transaction Processing:

Scan and itemize purchases, collect cash and electronic payments, and issue receipts.

Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly, answer questions about products and store policies, and maintain a positive attitude.

Cash Handling:

Operate the cash register, balance the cash drawer at the end of shifts, and accurately process money and change.

Problem Resolution:

Handle customer complaints, returns, and exchanges in a professional and timely manner.

Sales & Promotions:

Inform customers about current promotions, loyalty programs, and special offers to increase sales.

Merchandise Management:

Assist with bagging purchases, gift-wrapping, and maintaining a tidy, organized checkout area.

Store Operations:

Collaborate with team members, maintain knowledge of store products and policies, and sometimes assist with basic inventory.

Pay: ₹8,144.63 - ₹12,000.00 per month
