Saravana Jewellers is a trusted and established jewellery brand known for quality craftsmanship, customer satisfaction, and a wide range of traditional and contemporary jewellery collections. We are looking for a responsible and customer-focused Cashier to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Handle billing operations using POS systems with accuracy and efficiency.
Process cash, card, UPI, and other digital payments securely.
Issue invoices, receipts, and maintain accurate transaction records.
Ensure the cash counter is organized and all equipment is functioning properly.
Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
Verify gold rates and product prices before billing.
Assist customers with billing-related queries in a polite and professional manner.
Coordinate with sales staff and support smooth store operations.
Follow all security, safety, and company protocols, especially regarding jewellery handling.
Maintain confidentiality of customer information and financial transactions.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a cashier (experience in jewellery retail preferred).
Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
Basic computer knowledge and experience with POS/billing software.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Honest, reliable, and able to handle high-value transactions responsibly.
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Additional Requirements
Ability to stand for long hours when required.
Flexibility to work weekends, festival days, and peak seasons.
