Job Description

A cashier in a ladies' garments showroom is primarily responsible for handling customer transactions, managing payments, and providing excellent customer service at the point of sale. This includes operating the cash register, processing payments via cash, credit, or debit, and issuing receipts. They also assist customers with inquiries, returns, and exchanges, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing Transactions:

Accurately scanning items, calculating totals, and accepting payments using cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Handling Payments:

Accepting various payment methods (cash, credit, debit, etc.) and issuing receipts.

Customer Service:

Answering customer questions, providing product information, assisting with returns and exchanges, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Maintaining Checkout Area:

Keeping the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Cash Handling:

Accurately managing cash, balancing the cash drawer at the end of the shift, and adhering to cash handling procedures.

Merchandise Handling:

Assisting with restocking shelves, arranging displays, and potentially handling returned or exchanged items.

Security:

Following store procedures to prevent theft and fraud.

Communication:

Effectively communicating with customers and team members.

Accurately counting cash, making change, and balancing the register.

Point of Sale (POS) System Proficiency:

Familiarity with operating the cash register and other POS equipment.

Assisting customers with returns, exchanges, or other issues.
We Need a female candidates preferably from retail background, proficient in computer, because she need to work in ERP also. Good communcation skills in english, hindi and bengali. At least 5 years of experience working as a cashier.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
