Job Description

We are currently seeking a friendly, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier at our retail showroom. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing sales transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized cashier area. This position offers an exciting opportunity to interact with customers and contribute to the smooth operation of our retail showroom.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service:

- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.

- Assist customers with their inquiries, provide product information, and offer assistance as needed.

- Ensure a positive customer experience by providing exceptional service and resolving any customer issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner.

2. Cash Handling and Sales Processing:

- Accurately process sales transactions, including cash, credit card, and other forms of payment.

- Maintain a cash register and handle cash transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

- Calculate and provide accurate change to customers.

- Ensure that all sales are properly recorded, and receipts are issued to customers.

3. Product Knowledge and Merchandising:

- Familiarize yourself with the products available in the retail showroom.

- Provide information about product features, pricing, and availability to customers.

- Assist in restocking merchandise and maintaining a clean and organized showroom.

4. Cashier Area Management:

- Maintain a clean and organized cashier area, including the cash register, counter, and surrounding space.

- Replenish supplies such as bags, receipt rolls, and cash drawer as needed.

- Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation and cash handling.

5. Team Collaboration:

- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth store operations.

- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to address any issues or concerns.

- Assist in training and mentoring new cashiers as required.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Prior cashier or retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner.

- Excellent math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.

- Basic knowledge of operating a cash register and processing sales transactions.

- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
