The Cashier is responsible for handling all customer transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional attitude. The role includes managing the billing counter, processing payments, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and assist them during billing.
Handle cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and other payment modes accurately.
Issue receipts, refunds, and exchange bills as per company policy.
Maintain daily cash reports and reconcile cash drawers at the end of shifts.
Ensure the billing area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Coordinate with sales and operations teams for smooth billing operations.
Handle customer queries and escalate issues to the supervisor when needed.
Follow company policies and maintain confidentiality of financial transactions.
Assist in preparing daily sales reports and deposit summaries.
Requirements:
Minimum qualification: 12th pass or Graduate (preferred).
Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing role.
Basic knowledge of billing software, POS systems, and MS Office.
Strong numerical and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as per store requirements.
