Job Summary
We are looking for a highly trustworthy, honest, and loyal Cashier to join our retail store team in Coimbatore. This is a live-in position for the right candidate, offering room and food along with salary for those relocating from outside Coimbatore.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash, card, UPI, and digital payments accurately at the billing counter
- Issue correct bills/receipts and manage cash drawer reconciliation at the end of shift
- Greet customers politely, assist with basic queries, and ensure smooth checkout experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the billing counter area
- Report any discrepancies, shortages, or suspicious activities immediately
- Assist in basic stock counting, pricing, or shelf tagging when required
- Follow all store policies, safety guidelines, and loss-prevention procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Cashier/Billing Executive in a retail store, supermarket, textile shop, jewellery shop, or similar environment
- Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail
- Sincere loyalty, trustworthiness, and impeccable honesty are non-negotiable (candidates will undergo background/reference checks)
- Good communication skills in Tamil and basic English
- Ability to stand for long hours and work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to stay on the premises (for candidates relocating from outside Coimbatore)
