A restaurant bookkeeper/Cashier is a professional responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of a restaurant. Their primary role is to ensure accurate and organized accounting for the restaurant\xe2\x80\x99s financial activities. The bookkeeper performs various tasks related to financial management, record-keeping, and reporting to support the smooth operation of the restaurant\xe2\x80\x99s financial systems. - Record & reconcile POS sales and Deposits
- Manage vendor invoices and proper GL coding
- Bill pay; help operators manage approval and payment for outstanding invoices
- Produce Hone reports to provide insight
- Record & reconcile payroll
- Pay sales taxes
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Produce monthly income statements and balance sheet
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
- Client engagement: Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
- At least 3 years of experience managing the books for a restaurant group or multiple individual restaurants
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Quickbooks/POS/TALLY.
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-directed / Strong sense of ownership
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understands and values hospitality
- Smart and motivated team player
- Associate\xe2\x80\x99s or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting or finance preferred
