About the Role



We are looking for a well-spoken, organized, and customer-friendly Cashier to manage the billing counter and support smooth cafe operations. This person will be the first and last point of contact for customers, so professionalism and warmth are essential.

Key Responsibilities



1. Billing & Cash Handling



Manage the billing counter and operate the POS system efficiently. Generate accurate bills, process payments (cash, card, UPI, wallets). Maintain a clean and organized cash counter. Perform daily opening and closing cash reconciliations. Report any discrepancies immediately to the Cafe Manager.

2. Customer Interaction



Greet customers politely and take their orders clearly and accurately. Answer menu-related queries and assist in upselling when possible. Handle basic customer concerns professionally and escalate when required. Ensure a smooth and pleasant checkout experience.

3. Order Coordination



Communicate orders to the kitchen/barista team clearly. Track order queues and ensure timely preparation and delivery. Coordinate take-away and delivery partner pickups.

4. Operational Support



Help maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the front counter area. Assist with packaging, takeaways, and basic cafe tasks during rush hours. Keep stock of takeaway items (cups, lids, bags, cutlery, etc.) and report when replenishment is required. Support inventory counts when required.

5. Compliance & Standards



Follow cafe hygiene, food safety, and service standards. Adhere to all cash handling and documentation protocols. Uphold brand values through good etiquette and communication.

Required Skills & Attributes



Excellent communication; polite, well-spoken, and customer-oriented.

Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Basic computer literacy; familiarity with any POS system is a plus. Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient during peak hours. Honest, punctual, and reliable. Comfortable multitasking and supporting cafe operations.

Qualifications



HSC or Bachelor's degree preferred. 2-3 years experience in a cashier/front-desk/customer service role (hospitality/retail preferred). Training in POS or billing systems is an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
